Five steps to fundraising success

1. First things first
- Go to your local pub or club and ask them if they want to do a Firewalk for Little Heroes,
- Get 20 – 30 people to do the fire walk, ask the pub to get other locals to do the fire walk – get the landlord to help.
- Decide a Date – don’t forget to let us know so we can confirm the date.
2. Making money
- We have set a realistic fundraising target so you have something to aim for.
- Ask family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you. Your employer may have a matched giving scheme which is an easy way of doubling what you raise!
- Set up an online sponsorship page on ‘JustGiving’ and let everyone know. Check out our online tips to make the most of your page.
- Keep a record of all your donations and remember to thank everyone.
3. Publicise it
- Advertise your event using posters (which we will provide), emails and Social networking sites such as
- Facebook,Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn etc.
- Send the Little Heroes Press Release to all your local papers and radio stations.
- Don’t forget to take your camera on the day to take pictures and video to record your event.
4. Enjoy it.
- This will be one of the most exhilarating events you will have done for a long time, so make sure that you ask all your friends and family to come and enjoy this event with you.
5. After the event
- Send us your photos.
- Thank everybody who supported you on the night.
- Post pictures and videos on Facebook and YouTube, or email them to all your supporters to thank them for their generosity.
